SpacrGrid is an installer friendly, modular DC (direct current) power distribution system, specifically designed to reduce power consumption by up to 40% for LED lighting, HVAC motors, and other DC or digital devices, without increasing project capital costs.
Because that's how utilities distribute power to you.
Buildings that supply AC power (which is the standard in modern buildings) are wasting energy. Every time one of our DC powered devices (like LED lights) needs power, it wastes energy converting from AC to DC.
An average of $1.10 per sq/ft is wasted annually in commercial buildings. Is yours one of them?
Every LED fixture requires a driver that converts AC into DC power that wastes about 20% of the electricity converted in the form of heat. Save up-front costs and energy on your lighting projects by utilizing our DC power distribution system. Comes standard with 0-100% dimming, daylight harvesting, and occupancy sensing.
Many HVAC motors and actuators can only work on DC power. Just as with LED lights, every one of these requires a driver that converts AC into DC power that wastes about 20% of the electricity converted in the form of heat. Save up-front costs and energy on your HVAC projects by utilizing our DC power distributions system. Comes standard with variable speed controls, demand controlled ventilation (DCV), and multi-zone temperature and humidity sensing.
Many other building systems are also based on DC technology and are compatible with SpacrGrid. Just to name a few: electrified door strikes (keyless entry systems), motorized roller shades, USB power outlets, PoE (Power over Ethernet) outlets, and more.
Argentum's Digital Current Power Distribution System (the SpacrGrid) is made up simple, modular components.
SpacrGrid is the solution to the problem that's been overlooked for too long. It connects to your main electrical distribution panel, then sends DC power to the Argentum Smart Node, which distributes DC power to all connected devices (such as LED lighting and HVAC).
Just like a typical electrical distribution panel, the SpacrPanel distributes power to the electrical loads in a building. The difference is that SpacrPanel converts the AC power from the grid to DC power. Saving energy by making one highly efficient conversion at the source, instead of multiple inefficient conversions at the point-of-load.
The SpacrPanel makes individual AC-to-DC converters redundant because it converts before any of the power is distributed.
Every time energy is converted, some of the energy is wasted to heat. So by reducing the number of converters necessary down to just 1, about 20% of your building's energy is conserved.
SpacrPanel will work easily in most buildings because it can be connected directly to a power grid, and can distribute as wide a voltage range as from 12 - 750 Volts DC.
The SpacrGrid is made up of a network of intelligent DC load controllers called SpacrNodes. These nodes are connected to the SpacrPanel with any type of cable, and automatically detect the type of load they are connected to (i.e. LED light or DC motor).
The SpacrSwitch is a long-life (10-year), wireless, programmable switch for lighting or any other connected load that needs local remote controls.
It works as a remote control for any of the connected devices that you might want to control. LED lights, HVAC, motorized roller shades, and anything else you can think of, can all be controlled using a SpacrSwitch.
It's compact, wireless, and fits behind a standard sized decorator wall plate. It can also sit flush on a wall, so that no recess needs to be made in the drywall (no cutting).
No wiring is required, which saves on electrical labour and material costs, and makes it easy for you to move the switch to different rooms, or carry it around as a remote control.
